Where is the event happening?
Walthamstow Assembly Hall, Forest Road, London E17 4JF..

What time does the event run?  
From 9pm to 2am. Please be mindful of nearby residents when leaving the event, and be respectful and quiet.

Do I need a ticket?    
Yes, please bring your ticket to the event. You’ll be able to show your e-ticket on your phone or a printed copy and it’ll be scanned on entry by our Legends of the Forest. If you haven’t purchase a ticket yet, tickets are now sold out but you can join a waiting list for returns here

Don't forget to take a red carpet shot after you've shown your ticket!

Where are the nearest train stations?
Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line/London Overground). Wood Street (London Overground) is also nearby.

Which bus routes do I use to get to the event?  
97/215/357/34 to Forest Road/Bell Corner, and 123/275 to Town Hall. 

Where is best to get a taxi?
Legends of the Forest will be on hand at Walthamstow Central Station to show you where the nearest taxi set down and pick up area is. We would recommend heading to the Selborne Road side of the station when booking a taxi. The main gates to the Town Hall have been closed as part of the pedestrianisation project. You will need to be dropped off just outside the gates on Forest Road. The pedestrian entrance to the Town Hall campus will be open. This is also where you will need to be picked up if you are booking a taxi at the end of the night. Again, we remind you to please be mindful of nearby residents when leaving the event, and be respectful and quiet.

Can I bring my bicycle to the event?
Yes, there is bike parking at Town Hall.

Is there any parking provided? If not, where is the nearest car park?
There is limited Blue Badge Parking only available in the car park behind the Assembly Hall. In order to access this, you will need to head to the main car park entrance on Forest Road, between the Assembly Hall and Waltham Forest College. Other parking is available by the William Morris Gallery on Bedford Road.

Is there an accessibility entrance to the venue?
Yes, please ask our event security who will be able to direct you to the accessible entrance.

What time do doors open? 
9pm. Last entry is midnight.

I am not able to queue. What can I do?
Event security and Legends of the Forest will be able to assist with any issues you may have. We don’t expect long queues for this event. 

Am I allowed to leave and re-enter the event?
Yes, each person who has a ticket to the event will be issued with a wristband to allow for re-entry.

Is the show suitable for children and families?    
This event is specifically for those above the age of 18. Please bring along valid identification to show if asked to provide by event security.

Is the show wheelchair accessible?    
Yes, the Assembly Hall is wheelchair accessible.

Are there accessible toilets?    
Yes, there are accessible toilets on the ground floor.

Will there be gender neutral toilet provision?  
Yes, all toilets will be gender neutral with appropriate signage.

Will mobility scooters be allowed entry?    
Yes, however some doorways within the hall are quite narrow. Escorts will be on hand if you require them. Please chat to a member of event staff who will be able to assist you.

Is there a viewing platform? Can I bring my Personal Assistant/companion(s)?    
Unfortunately, this event does not have a viewing platform. Most performances will take place on a stage and raised runway. Additional performances will take place within the crowd. If you require a ticket for a companion, please email the London Borough of Culture 2019 team in advance of the event who will be able to assist.

Will there be allocated seating available? What about those who find it difficult to stand for extended periods? 
Unallocated seating is available on the first floor gallery at limited capacity. This area is only accessible by a flight of stairs. If at any point you feel that you are unable to stand, and would like seating downstairs, please inform event staff who will help you.

Is the show suitable for someone with photosensitive conditions?    
This event will contain a lot of flashing lights which could trigger photosensitive epilepsy.

What advice is there for people with sensory needs?    
This event will involve loud music and flashing lights. The hall will also be dark. 

Does the bar take cash and card?    
Yes, the bar will take cash and card. If you prefer using cash, please not there are no cash points on site, so please ensure you arrive with enough for the evening. The nearest cash points are on Forest Road (Tesco Express and Post Office).

What food and drink is available at the event?    
Small portions of finger food (with some vegetarian and vegan options) will be given out as part of the performance and is included in the ticket price. We recommend eating beforehand as these will be tasting canapes. 

Why can’t I bring my own alcohol to the event?    
The license of the Walthamstow Assembly Hall does not permit bringing your own alcohol for consumption.

Can I bring my own food and drink to the event?   
We do not allow people to bring their own food or drink into event, unless you have a medical condition. If this is the case, please email the London Borough of Culture team prior to the event to inform them, so this can be taken into account for your arrival.

Will there be vegan and gluten free food options?    

Will there be Halal food options?
The menu of finger food does not contain meat products. It only includes vegetarian, vegan and fish based dishes.

Is there access to drinking water on site? Is it free?    
Yes, free drinking water will be available at the bars within the Assembly Hall.

I am a local resident, what is the phone number to reach the event organisers on to make a complaint?    
Please call Waltham Forest Council on 0208 496 3000, they will log your complaint and the organisers will be in touch as per the Councils complaints procedure.

Will there be filming and photography at the event?    
Yes. By entering this event you give your consent for your images to be used without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. London Borough of Waltham Forest (LBWF) may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by LBWF including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television and websites. If you have any concerns or would not like to be photographed, please let event staff know so they can accommodate.

What medical facilities do you have in place?    
First aiders will be available on site. If you have any issues that require first aid, please let a member of the event team know so they can assist.

Can I smoke at the event?
Yes, there will be a designated smoking area at the side of the Assembly Hall which will be clearly sign posted within the event.

Where can I find my lost property?
The Council will hold lost property for one month after the event.

What security arrangements are in place? Will everyone entering the site be searched? 
Security will be on hand throughout the venue, and they will be conducting bag searches on arrival to ensure the safety of all those attending the event. 

Can I bring DSLR camera? 
We do not allow cameras with detachable lenses, such as the SLR and DSLR cameras. You can bring any other camera to the festival for your personal use. Any other professional film and video equipment, which is not authorized by management in advance, will not be permitted. If you wish to film and record at the show, please get in touch. Amateur photography does not require advance accreditation and is permitted on site.

Can I take photos?    
Yes, as long as it is for personal use.
