Arts Award Discover

Do your children enjoy taking part in the arts?
This could be arts and crafts, design, drama, music, spoken words or any creative activity

They could get a special Waltham Forest Arts Award to reward their achievement by recording what they are already doing and taking part in any of the many free events on offer for London Borough of Culture 2019.

To gain a Arts Award Discover ( for age 5 to approx. 11) children need to take part in at least two different arts activities, research a local artist and share what they have done with others.

Get advice and help at one of our free drop-in Arts Award workshops on the first three Saturday afternoons of the month throughout the borough until the end of September.

Drop in workshops will take place on:

  • First Saturday of the month: One Hoe Street Walthamstow, E17 4SD
  • Second Saturday of the month: South Chingford Library, 265 Chingford Mount Road, Chingford, E4 8LP
  • Third Saturday of the month : Leyton Library Plus High Road Leyton E10 5QH
