Walthamstow Wetlands and William Morris Gallery
2019 marks a century of the Bauhaus – the 20th century’s most iconic architecture and design movement. Discover how Waltham Forest’s William Morris influenced the movement through a year-long programme of celebratory events, exhibitions, workshops and public art.
Leading the way is Form, Function and the Outdoors, Walthamstow Wetlands and William Morris Gallery’s 6-month Artist Residency, which will create up to 4 large-scale outdoor commissions.
The William Morris Gallery will also celebrate an international culture of contemporary designer/makers and the influence of the ideas of William Morris and the Bauhaus through a major new exhibition Pioneers of the Modern Movement.
