After a fabulous evening at Duckie Loves Fanny last Friday, we have another strong week of events for you to get involved with across the borough…

The Big Bagaga Show
£2 Waltham Forest resident tickets for The Big Bagaga contemporary circus shows are now SOLD OUT, but there are still regular tickets available. Performances will be taking place every evening from now until 22 September.

GIANT Climbing and Music Sessions
Step into the forest and be part of a GIANT treetop experience with the upcoming GIANT Climbing and Music Sessions. Join for a one-hour session where you'll learn a group song with music leader Ellie Bowers-Jolley, before ascending the boughs of a mature oak tree, with the support of expert climbing instructors. The session will finish with a sing-song from the treetops. GIANT Climbing and Music Sessions complement the upcoming GIANT Climbing Concerts, book your tickets now!

Blacksmithing at Capel Manor College's Brooks Farm
Join the Urban Crafts Foundation’s mobile blacksmiths at Capel Manor College’s Brooks Farm Campus in Leyton from 13-16 September for free hands on workshops and learn how to transform hot steel into decorative shapes the traditional way using hammers and anvils. Everyone taking part in the workshops will collectively contribute to making an amazing decorative arch that will stay at the farm for everyone to enjoy. Pre-register tickets are sold out, but walk ups are available on each day by going to the farm from 10am and registering in person.

In-Facts is London’s newest and most innovative monthly intimate evening that assimilates and celebrates various audio and visual art-forms. Artists performing on Thursday 19 September include Drey Cheekz, Carlos and Tray Avlon and there will also be a screening of short film “PWITS”.

Inua Ellams’ R.A.P Party
Our final London Borough of Culture 2019 Inua Ellams R.A.P Party is taking place at Leyton Sixth Form College on Thursday 19 September, following hugely successful parties in Walthamstow and Leytonstone. Neither a club night nor poetry reading, rave nor literary event, Inua Ellams' R.A.P Party is an unashamedly nostalgic, fun, no clutter, no fuss, evening of hip-hop inspired poems and favourite hip-hop songs.

Polish Jazz London Series: Kuba Więcek
The next concert in the Polish Jazz London Series featuring composer and saxophonist Kuba Więcek is taking place at St. Mary’s Music Hall on Thursday 19 September. Więcek’s new album has had rave reviews for its fresh sound and new approach to playing jazz. You can read an interview with the talented young musician here.
