If your shirt needs a pep-up, come along to the Shirt Party at One Hoe Street.
This is a pattern and painting workshop designed to refresh and revamp tired garments by resist printing and mad colour. The workshop will begin with a brief introduction to fashion designers, such as Katharine Hamnett, who has used the T-shirt as a protest site with powerful slogans like 'NHS Not Trident'.
Choose a message or a word in protest or in joy to put on your shirt. Slice it up with blocks of colour and crazy pattern. All textile dyes and masking materials will be provided.
Please bring along your own white cotton shirt to dye.
