Waltham Forest Cultural Education Partnership is offering the free CPD to Waltham Forest educators which runs from 1.30-4.30pm. There will also be an opportunity to attend a private view of the Kehinde Wiley exhibition, with arts marketplace and networking after the CPD from 4.30 -7pm.
This course offers early years, primary, secondary and sixth form college staff, artists and arts organisations working in Waltham Forest an opportunity to explore ways of effective partnership working to deliver high quality arts projects in educational settings.
It will give an insight into the benefits of partnership working, ways to nurture the partnership and ensuring the sustainability of the creative achievement. Hear a case study from School 21 - a pioneering new 4 to 18 school in Stratford, East London, using creativity to give students a challenging and exciting curriculum and the chance to find their voice, develop deep knowledge and understanding, and create beautiful work that has real value beyond the classroom. They have also found partnership has brought valuable income generating opportunities.
A New Direction (the Arts Council Bridge Organisation for London) will present practical tips on managing the partnerships from achieving a shared vision to sorting payment schedules. They will draw on extensive experience of arts partnership working and the toolkits developed thereby.
