The Epping Forest Celebration Walk was initiated in 1978, the 100th anniversary of the passing of the Epping Forest Act 1878, which saved the Forest in perpetuity!
It has continued as an annual event to celebrate the Forest and its ongoing protection. There are short talks en route, with a variety of speakers; giving an opportunity to find out a little more about the Forest too.
The walk provides an opportunity to walk the entire length of Epping Forest in the day (about 14 miles) or take part in one of the local sections of the ‘long’ walk. It is very much to celebrate how lucky we are to have Epping Forest!
Organised by Epping Forest Heritage Trust, with support from the Ramblers’ Association and the Corporation of London. Why not join in?
