Parker Dairies established in 1989 by John Parker, with a single round in Dalston - now delivers to 12,000 customers with 28 rounds.
Previously based at 220 Wood Street, Walthamstow they moved to Woodford Green in 2017 and serve the whole of the borough of Waltham Forest with a fleet of electric milk floats that have stood the test of time!
Maxine Beuret’s work straddles a boundary between documentary and art. Much of the photography, film, sound and oral history are created in collaboration with milk men on their daily rounds.
Do you have any memories or thoughts about milk delivery in the borough or elsewhere? Please come in and share them.
Two public workshops on Tuesday 22nd October (2pm – 4pm & 5pm – 7pm) are designed to encourage people to add their memories to create an archive of milk delivery in Britain. Postcards are available throughout the exhibition.
