Celebrating the life of the High Street and its connection with the Forest and Wetlands
Working with contemporary composer and sound artist Nye Parry, a unique sound installation is launching on Walthamstow High Street this weekend.
The sounds, collected with the help of local volunteers earlier this year, draw inspiration from the immediate natural environment of Walthamstow Wetlands and Epping Forest.
The composition aims to celebrate the role of the High Street as a connector between those key local natural assets whilst celebrating public life on the High Street.
The installation will be positioned the entrance to The Mall on the High Street. Join us on Saturday 7 December at 3.30pm to be the first to hear the sound piece and talk to us about your experience of the High Street.
