1-16 June 2019
Walthamstow
Now in its 15th year, the E17 Art Trail is a much-treasured gem in London’s cultural calendar that takes place biennially across Walthamstow. This year artists are invited to respond to the theme Wonder and audiences are invited to encounter artworks on every corner.
The E17 Art Trail was founded in 2005 and has been coordinated by the Artillery team since its inception.
Artillery is an arts development organisation based in Walthamstow that aims to create lasting shared memories among neighbours resulting from open invitations to create neighbourhood events and projects together. They apply artistic and creative practice to mobilise the talents and enthusiasm of artists, residents, businesses and communities as a way of making connections locally and strengthening communities.
For London Borough of Culture 2019, Artillery will lead a vibrant programme of events, workshops, open studios and performances spanning the borough including the E17 Art Trail and From Page to Pavement, a multi-art form story trail inspired by Benji Davies’ picture book Grandad’s Island.
