A weekend spectacular as film pops up in unexpected places.
As a site of early film production and the celebrated birthplace of Hitchcock, Leytonstone has a rich cinema history. Celebrate film culture, filmmaking and the area’s rich local film heritage as film pops up in the most unexpected of places.
Produced by the Barbican in partnership with local residents and organisations, this new festival will bring people together over a shared love of film to inspire a new generation of makers, risk takers and radical thinkers.
A weekend-long event featuring screenings of local and international work, film-inspired workshops and activities, music, talks and installations in cafés, pubs and pop-up venues.

Leytonstone loves film screen archive project
Vestry House, the London Screen Archives and the Barbican is looking back at life in Leytonstone, collecting footage and showcasing how the area has been captured on film.
