21 September - 5 October 2019
Borough wide
There is a strong tradition of community singing in Waltham Forest. Hundreds of residents benefit from the sociability, fun and feeling of well-being that comes from singing in a choir.
For two weeks this autumn, the Waltham Forest ChoirFest will spread the joy of singing across the borough. A selection of community choirs will deliver events and performances on the theme of ‘Fellowship’, culminating in a mass performance on Saturday 5 October at Walthamstow Assembly Hall. This is a unique initiative that is bringing together 11 choirs; a musical theatre group and a Ukulele group!
There will be a range of performances and activities—mostly free—including concerts, open rehearsals, workshops, music readings, tea parties and a comedy play with music. The full line-up can be found at choirfest.co.uk
This event will take place in locations across Waltham Forest. More details on venues coming soon.
