The Made in Waltham Forest Craft Market curated by Leyton&Stone Designers will take over Fellowship Square Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July to celebrate a selection of talented designers and craftspeople from across the borough.
Shop from a tempting array of products including handmade jewellery, ceramics, kids' clothing and soaps. Look out for craft kits using reclaimed materials, accessories made from recycled bike parts, knits from leftover yarns and digital products using recycled plastics! Check out the list of stallholders below:
👉Local food and drink will be available all weekend from Mels Tropical Kitchen, Haven Coffee, Two Chefs, Sweet Tooth (Indian) and Fellowship Food, plus local arts gurus Global Local will keep everyone jumping over the weekend with a set of live music:
👉Global Local Presents - A Local Global Special, featuring Walthamstow's Noga Ritter and Friends, blending Afro grooves and jazz; Das Brass, Waltham Forest's very own Brass band remix; Alvorada, a superb Brazilian Chora band; MC and rapper Fedzilla and Stamford Hillbillys, mixing Klezmer and Cockney, West Indies meets Balkans.
👉Specially choreographed 'splash mob' dance performances in and around the fountain will take place at 1pm and 3pm on Saturday by local X7eaven Performing Arts Academy.
👉Two separate art installations from Waltham Forest Muslim Culture Forum artists Rezia Halima Wahid MBE and Juma Harding-Dimmock will also be on display.
Juma will be exhibiting her most recent works - Woven Histories, a project inspired by freedom quilts, William Morris, and the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020 - and Attributes, which uses floriography to create positive attributes and symbolism for marginalised communities. In addition, creations by Blackhorse Responders of their own interpretation of Juma's Attributes series will also be on display.

Leyton&Stone Designers was set up by a group of local designer/makers in 2015 to support the emerging creative community in Leyton and Leytonstone. They now organise markets all around Waltham Forest with their diverse network of talented artisans. Recent events include markets at Leytonstone Loves Film Festival and Welcome to the Forest Bar in Walthamstow - and our legendary Christmas markets in Leytonstone.

Global Local is the brainchild of Continental Drifts, who have lived and worked in the Borough for 25 years. Global Local concentrates on music that uses the sounds of the world mixed with the 21st Century sounds of the UK and in this case Waltham Forest.
Continental Drifts produces and programmes some of the country's greatest events, from Shangri Las in Glastonbury, to events for Royalty and vast events with the Likes of Toots and The Metals and the Idles. In a usual year they will produce events for over 1 million people and utilise 100s of new band, performers and whole circuses.
Rezia is an award winning British artist who for over 20 years has been combining teaching with weaving and delivering workshops in museums, galleries, festivals and schools all over Britain, where participants not only learn the tradition and craft of hand weaving but explore the different cultural contents and materials which are Islamic, Eastern and Western. She was awarded the MBE in 2005 New Years Honours for her contribution to arts in London.
Juma Harding-Dimmock is an artist and illustrator based in Waltham Forest. The narratives within her work focus on humanity's interaction and reaction to the world, exploring social and political issues, nature and spirituality.
Juma's passion for inclusion and diversity within the arts has motivated her to work within various networks - she is a member of Variant Space, an all-female art collective, and Waltham Forest Muslim Cultural Forum - a platform that works to nurture and explore individual and collective creativity from different Muslim experiences.
Waltham Forest Muslim Culture Forum (MCF) is a growing network of Muslim artists, creatives, heritage workers and producers. The forum works to the platform, nurture and explore individual and collective creativity of different Muslim experiences.
Waltham Forest Muslim Cultural Forum was part of the London Borough of Culture 2019 and the Walthamstow Garden Party 2019. Creating the Oasis Zone that showcased the work of over 35 different Muslim artists. In 2021 they co-courted the Imagination Exchange exploring values, accountability and accessibility with the Barbican.
