There are many ways that Waltham Forest Council is supporting residents, visitors and students to cycle more around the borough. As well as creating segregated cycle lanes and quieter, safer neighbourhoods the Council has also introduced a series of complementary measures to help get more people cycling. Most of our tenants cycle or walk to Switchboard Studios.
Waltham Forest Council is installing sustainable travel throughout the borough, to reduce traffic and pollution. Therefore parking is extremely limited, and cycling provision is being introduced throughout the borough. Please avoid taking the car if you can.
Switchboard Studios opens to tenants and their visitors from Monday to Sunday 7.00am to 11.00pm.
The building is a space to be used by the community of Blackhorse Lane, for markets, pop up cinema, birthday parties and more. How to hire The Circuit Room.
HAVEN Coffee hold a pop up coffee cart at Switchboard Studios three times a week
Switchboard Studios is managed by the London Borough of Waltham Forest, as part of our commitment to supporting the provision and retention of affordable creative workspaces in the borough.
Thanks to the Mayor of London’s support, we’ve been able to make this space happen, a four year worthwhile project in the heart of our Creative Enterprise Zone. As a result we’ve seen businesses bloom, and they’ve created opportunities for collaboration with other businesses, reduced that commute and stayed local. Want to join them?
The Creative Enterprise Zone
Alongside other arts/cultural/music venues in the area (Blackhorse Workshop, Yonder, Creative Works, Barbican Arts) and local pubs, cafes and restaurants, Switchboard Studios aims to help make the Blackhorse Road creative enterprise zone a thriving and inspiring destination for creative businesses and the wider community.
