Tell Tails will visit five care homes across Waltham Forest to create a new piece of theatre for children.

Tell Tails are actively seeking out participants who are isolated and unable to access some of the cultural events across the borough and will deliver workshops in their care settings. Tell Tails workshops centre around storytelling and sharing, they are specifically designed to engage older members of society whose voices often go unheard.

Within workshops Tell Tails will explore social interaction, interaction with puppets and shared stories. Over a research and development week Tell Tails will create a response piece of theatre appropriate for younger audiences exploring some of the workshop themes, contributors and the characters that we uncovered.

Through intergenerational showings and sharing of the created piece, we envisage a broadening of interaction between early years and older people who might not normally spend time in a creative space together.
