68 incredible artworks by 33 world-famous artists in 28 unusual and unexpected locations in Waltham Forest.
In partnership with the Government Art Collection, Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture presents Ways of Seeing. Transforming the whole borough of Waltham Forest into an art gallery, Ways of Seeing will display the work of internationally-famous artists in venues across Chingford, Leyton, Leytonstone and Walthamstow.
An impressive number of artworks have been carefully selected from the Government Art Collection that explore ideas of landscape and nature, people and community, and celebrate the Borough’s rich history of creativity. Each selected artwork is being presented in a specially selected location that offers new ways to think about the artwork or the borough.
Alongside the artworks, a full programme of talks and workshops will take place adding insights about the art from the perspective of local communities, artists and Government Art Collection curators. The Government Art Collection curators will be working alongside teachers and librarians to bring the artworks to life in their locations.
More information and a full list of artworks will be available soon.
