Time: From 15 June

Presented by: Nicholas Pankhurst

Walthamstow Wetlands is an amazing local resource, enjoyed by residents and non-residents alike.  During unsettled times we still need to feel connected with nature, even if that is from the confines of our own homes.  Artist Nicholas Pankhurst has a history of working in Walthamstow and he is inviting residents to join him in celebrating the beautiful landscape and wildlife on our doorstep.

Local residents are invited to share their images, drawings, writings and audio recordings of their experience of the Wetlands here  or link your social media posts using #zigzagwalthamstow. Inspired by Paul Klee’s idea of taking a drawn line for a walk, ZigZag is a collection of the images of the wetlands we find in our imaginations.

Open to all, the images will be collected and curated by the artist and turned into a filmic tapestry of the Wetlands that will be screened online and shown at the Wetland visitor centre when it reopens.
