In Our Patchwork Community: A Tale of Two Houses, Handprint Theatre highlights the importance of how we communicate with each other. Through their signature style, Handprint Theatre will explore the power our words, actions, attitude and behaviour can have on others, and ultimately how we build our community.
Running alongside performances audiences will be invited to take part in workshops and contribute to a community patchwork, celebrating identity, diversity, language and culture. As the project grows so will the patchwork as a representation of our vibrant community.
Both the performance and workshops are Deaf and hearing bilingual, providing access for all families to enjoy a community event together.
Interactive children’s theatre specialists Handprint Theatre weave British Sign Language, visual storytelling and so much more to inspire young people in sharing creative stories. Empowering children and young through sign theatre, spoken language and visual communication Handprint Theatre makes theatre for and with their audience.
