26 and 27 October
Epicentre Leytonstone
Hennography, part of the Mendhika UK Festival, invites you to celebrate and learn about the fascinating history of Henna from ancient beginnings to the modern world.
With its origins in ancient Egypt, henna has evolved on its journey across Africa, the Middle East and South Asia, reaching around the globe to the contemporary western world. The art of henna has strong connections with a wide range of traditions and cultures across the globe.
To celebrate Black History Month, costumed interpreters will communicate their chapter of the henna journey to our guests.
ADORN . EMPOWER . CELEBRATE: That’s what Mendhika_UK Festival stands for. Their goal is to gift the world with the artistry of Henna, by reviving its power to enable healing, and to tell stories as well as bestow beauty.
