Welcome to the Forest Bar
Deaf Rave presents a line-up of d/Deaf performers at this visual and captivating evening club event for audiences of all hearing abilities.
All performances will be in British Sign Language, and there’ll be dance, sign songs, sign rap, mime and visual vernacular (sign language story telling).

Deaf Rave club event
Deaf Rave be facilitated by Deaf and Hard of Hearing DJs and performers. The event will be accessible to British Sign Language and spoken English users alike.
There will be flashing lights and loud noises.
This venue is wheelchair accessible, with step free access throughout. The venue has an accessible toilet.
Buses 34, 97, 215, 275 and 357 run to Walthamstow Market bus stop G/J (450ft). Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line and London Overground) is a 0.3 miles away (6 minute walk). Deaf Rave Workshops
The BSL Taster workshops are for hearing participants who want to learn British Sign Language, and is delivered in British Sign Language and spoken English by a qualified British Sign Language tutor. There will be no interpreter present.
The DJ workshops are facilitated and supported by Deaf and Hard of Hearing DJs, and are fully accessible to audiences of all hearing abilities.Full British Sign Language and spoken English can be accessed. There will be loud noises and flashing lights.
Both workshops take place in the William Morris Community Centre, 6-8 Greenleaf Road.
There is permanent, ramped access into the building, with a level landing at the top of the ramp. The door opening is 88cm (2ft 11in) wide. There is step free access to the workshop space. The venue has an accessible toilet.
There is a bus stop 160m away, which is served by bus no 34, 97, 215, 275, 375 and 675. The nearest train station is Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line and London Overground), which is a 10 minute walk away (0.5 miles). The venue has free parking onsite, which does not need to be reserved by blue badge holders.
