22-24 November 2019
Lloyd Park
Dedicated to the theme of trees, the Arboria luminarium by Architects of Air is a maze of winding paths and soaring domes, offering guests a sensory experience like no other.
Be transported into an amazing world of light, immersed in radiant colour that comes simply from daylight shining through the luminarium’s fabric. Take a walk through the installation’s labyrinthine tunnels, or simply find a place to relax and meditate in this calming, colour drenched environment.
Arboria's sound experience originated in the Ecuadorian Cloud Forest where musician and soundscape ecologist Alice Eldridge (ecila.org) made recordings for biodiversity monitoring. To the forest and wildlife sounds Alice has added her own piano composition.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (a minimum of 1 adult for up to 4 children).
Shoes and possessions are left in the reception area at the owner’s risk. Warm socks are advised!
The installation will be quieter for groups with Special Educational Needs on Saturday 23 November, 09.30am-11am. If you are visiting during these times please be mindful of other visitors.
